start your own production
Notice from Tempohousing October 1, 2009: we have decided to suspend our offer for "start you own production" at least until 31 Dec 2009.
If you are interested in starting your own production, feel free to inform us, but take into account that no license contracts decisions will be taken by Tempohousing in 2009 due to current negotiations with a major shipping line on a large scale global roll out for local production with used containers.
Tempohousing also offers the option to obtain a license under which our products can be manufactured in your own facility, based on locally purchased (used) containers. In some cases producing locally may prove to be more cost efficient, with the added bonus of creating jobs. In some areas government subsidies are available to set up local production. Producing locally is specifically suited to areas with a sufficient supply of labour with basic skills and moderate salaries. A license agreement contains a royalty fee per unit produced, based on our technology and a minimum annual production quantity. A full blue print of a typical factory lay out, production logistics, required tool set and drawings and clear instruction pictures will be made available by Tempohousing and our engineers will also provide on-site supervision during production start up.
Though cost advantages may make the choice to manufacture locally seem attractive, it is important to realize that setting up a factory is a complex process and that continuity is a key issue for any factory. Capital investment (although limited), experience in production logistics and a continuous order flow are essential. For large projects, it is also possible to build a "one project" factory, where a temporary production facility will be set up on the site where the project is to be realized. We will be happy to assist you.
