container staircases
To make the stackable units usable it is necessary to use staircases. Tempohousing has developed three staircase units.
The 20' standard staircase: the stairs are in the middle of the container with large balconies at floor level. This enables this unit to be approached from four sides.
The 20' facility staircase has the stairs slided somewhat to one side of the container. The stairs are cut into half height sections. This creates room in the back of the container to put facilities, like boiler rooms or storage rooms, in. These staircase containers can be approached from three sides.
The 40' staircase container is different in its approach than the other two. The high cube container is not placed on the normal bottom, but on the end of the container. This setup spans 5 layers and uses 3/4 turning stairs ending on balconies. These stairs can be approached from three sides, but are best suited for a one way approach.
Because demands on elevators differ considerably depending on the country of the project elevator containers are not standardized. It is also unusual to make elevators in temporary buildings. This does not mean that Tempohousing cannot provide them. At request we can design an elevator setup tailor made for your project.
