When did you last
go to a open air festival?
Every summer many open air music festivals throughout Europe take place. Enjoy the music, meet other people, get a sun tan and drink a cold beer…no better place to be during summer time. But where did you sleep, if at all? A too expensive overbooked hotel nearby? In a small tent, enjoying the neighbours snoring and stand in line for the toilet in the morning?
Tempohousing has designed and built special hotel rooms for these special occasions. The famous Danish Smukfest organization in Skanderborg (Danmark) asked Tempohousing to participate in creating a mobile festival hotelroom: small, beautiful and with all the usual hotel luxury.
In a 40 ft standard shipping container we created 4 (!) comfortable hotel rooms, each with a double bed, bath room with toilet, shower and sink and with a veranda for your breakfast in the morning. In Danmark they call this fantastic little sleeper a “Dejligheder”.
These 3 x 2,5 meter rooms are no doubt the smallest hotel rooms in the world. With fold out panels in front, the unit can be set up in a matter of minutes. Plug in the water, power and the sewage and off you go. With the outside sizes of a standard shipping container, the unit can be shipped with a standard truck or container ship anywhere in the world.
The units are for lease for every event.

The Smukfest music festival takes place every year. With over 180 bands and 60.000 visitors a major event in Danmark and the rest of Europe. This year it will be held from 5 to 9 August, where the first Dejligheder is already fully in use for festival guests.
